Rocky Coleman
Discipleship Pastor
Rocky grew up in a northern suburb of Detroit, MI. He played soccer, was a downhill ski racer, and was active in 4-H raising pigs and steers. He was also involved in his church youth group, and on a mission trip to Mexico, felt called into ministry. In pursuit of that call, he immersed himself in college ministry while completing his bachelor’s degree. After college, Rocky pursued seminary training while living in Rochester, MN. He was then invited to pastor a church in mid-Michigan—it was during this time that he he recognized his need for further theological education. He eventually relocated to Kentucky for further seminary training, and after completion of his Ph.D., he returned to the Rochester area.
Rocky has a heart for the lost both locally and globally. He has been active in missions for the past 18 years, going on mission trips to Ecuador, Belize, Honduras, and Mexico. Through his ministry and travels, he has recognized the need for equipping Christian leaders with sound theological training so they can reach and disciple the lost in their area. Locally, Rocky has found joy in interacting with believers to discuss biblical truth and how it applies to different contexts and cultures.
Along with pastoring at Northbridge Church, Rocky serves as adjunct faculty at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and previously taught at Bethlehem College and Seminary.
